The Simulaids 1912 IUD Insertion Trainer is designed by physicians and health care providers to demonstrate IUD insertion and removal gynecologic procedure. This realistic, anatomically accurate model of ovaries, fimbria, and a section of the uterus is covered by a clear plastic window. It assists students in visualization of the insertion and placement of an IUD in the uterus. IUD is a small contraceptive device, one form of long-acting reversible contraception, that is inserted into the uterus and prevents fertilization of the egg. This lightweight and portable IUD trainer is delivered with the EVA gynecologic manikin.
